F. Duffield (Duff) Meyercord serves as managing partner at Carl Marks Advisors and brings more than 35 years of experience directing strategic projects and providing operational and financial advisory services to businesses across a broad range of industries. Mr. Meyercord is responsible for directing and leading consulting teams, as well as serving as an advisor to client stakeholder groups, management teams, boards of directors, bondholders, and lending institutions. Engagement services have included turnarounds, restructurings, M&A advisory, lender relations, Chapter 11 reorganizations and Section 363 Sales, due diligence, valuations, cash monitoring, and serving in interim senior executive positions.  He has worked with companies in several industries, including real estate, consumer goods, retail, textiles, apparel and fashion, home furnishings, equipment rental, shipping and transportation, printing, media, food service, heavy and light manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, and licensing.

In addition to working with clients, Mr. Meyercord also serves as managing partner of Carl Marks Advisors. In this role, he leads the firm’s marketing, staffing, and administrative functions.

Prior to joining Carl Marks Advisors, Mr. Meyercord was president and founder of Meyercord Advisors Inc., which was established in 1976. Concurrently, he served as managing director and founder of venture capital fund, Venturetech Management Inc.

Mr. Meyercord launched his career with Malcom P. McLean, founder of SeaLand Containerization.  McLean Industries maintained equity positions in land development, shipping, transportation, and manufacturing companies. He was responsible for spearheading the firm’s corporate development, strategic planning, and M&A functions, often serving as CEO or serving on the boards of directors of McLean’s various entities.

Mr. Meyercord has served on the boards of numerous companies spanning a wide range of industries, including: Pacific Crane Maintenance Company, United Vision Logistics, SDI Media Group, The Country Club of North Carolina, Diamondhead Corporation, Wayside Technology Group, Inc., Peapack-Gladstone Bank, Headway Corporate Resources, NES Rentals, Janis Group, RCI Group, and  Baltusrol Golf Club.

He holds a BA in Accounting from Birmingham-Southern College.
