Jonathan Killion has nearly 10 years of financial services experience, including deep expertise in financial restructuring and investment banking. Mr. Killion works closely with company owners, management teams, boards of directors, private equity groups, lenders, and investors on engagements spanning bankruptcies, workouts, loan restructurings, due diligence, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions.

He has experience providing financial advisory and investment banking services across a vast range of industries, including manufacturing, retail consumer products, healthcare, food service, media, transportation, and real estate. Mr. Killion’s notable engagements include Sleep Innovations (leading manufacturer of specialty sleep products), Florida Marine Transporters (provider of marine transportation services), Psychotherapy (national provider dedicated to outpatient rehabilitation, orthotics, and prosthetics services), RG Steel (steel manufacturer) , DayMen (owners of LowePro and Joby, leading outdoor photography gear brands) and Piggly Wiggly grocery chain. He is currently working with the senior lenders to a privately held healthcare company that delivers cancer care to patients via state-of-the art proton therapy centers. 

In 2014, Mr. Killion was the financial advisor and banker to Midstate Mills, which was named the winner of the Distressed M&A Deal of the Year (between $10 million and $50 million) by M&A Advisor for its sale to Renovo Capital LLC. He was also a member of the team that won 2010 Turnaround of the Year Award Large Company Category by the Turnaround Management Association for Sleep Innovations. 

Prior to joining Carl Marks Advisors Mr. Killion worked in the audit services group at Deloitte & Touche LLP, where his clients included Fortune 250 Companies. One of his most notable engagements was the audit of the Merck and Schering-Plough joint venture, which involved annual sales exceeding $5 billion and the audit of Dr. Scholl’s and Coppertone.

Mr. Killion earned a BS in Business Administration from Georgetown University and currently serves as the President of the Northern New Jersey Georgetown Alumni Club.
