Pamela Corrie is a restructuring lawyer and business leader with experience assisting companies facing challenges associated with organizational and capital structures as well as market changes increase profitability. With over twenty-five years of experience in complex in-and out-of-court restructurings, Ms. Corrie is able to assist companies assess and integrate business, legal and financial issues, collaborating closely with senior management, corporate executives, lenders and sponsors to define the businesses’ strategic vision to address changing market dynamics, product development, technology challenges and operational improvements to increase competitiveness, while driving cost efficiencies and rationalization of the work force.
Ms. Corrie’s most recent engagement was as Chief Restructuring Officer of ABC Carpet and Home, assisting the business evaluate, refine and implement a transformative business plan that included selling substantial real estate assets, executing on the metamorphosis of the business into a smaller retail footprint, reinvigorating the company’s merchandising plan, and providing recommendations to mitigate risks and maximize value.
Previously, Ms. Corrie was the Managing Director/CEO of Epiq Systems, which provides technology solutions to law firms and financial advisory firms advising distressed companies. Ms. Corrie was tasked with reinvigorating the corporate restructuring division of the legal services company to facilitate its sale, and was responsible for managing the overall strategic vision for the business, working closely with corporate leadership to develop strategies to improve sales, cost efficiencies, margins and operations.
Prior to her tenure at Epiq, Ms. Corrie was the General Counsel and chief legal advisor to the Risk organization at General Electric Capital Corporation, Americas Division, for 12 years, where she managed a team of attorneys providing legal advice on all facets of complex workouts, restructurings, bankruptcies and litigations. Prior to joining GE Capital, she worked for the law firm of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLC. Ms. Corrie’s practice focused on complex restructuring and bankruptcies, in which capacity she represented debtors, large institutional creditors, and creditors’ committees.
Ms. Corrie received a Bachelor of Science from Stanford University and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law. She is a member of the bars of New York, California and Connecticut.
