NEW YORK – March 13, 2017 – Carl Marks Advisors, a leading restructuring advisory and investment banking firm to middle market companies, today announced that Steven F. Agran has joined the firm as Managing Director, working on restructuring deals and relationship management and marketing in the northeast.

Steven brings more than 20 years of experience providing turnaround and interim management services to financially distressed companies. He has worked across a wide range of industries including trucking & transportation, distribution, food production & services, consumer products, manufacturing, businesses services, retail, and healthcare sectors.

Prior to joining Carl Marks Advisors, Mr. Agran was a Principal for MorrisAnderson, LLC where he oversaw firm operations including strategy, marketing, and staffing, and was responsible for the East Coast practice group. He joined the firm in 2008.  Earlier in his career, Steven held various senior workout consulting positions with firms, focusing on turnarounds & interim management.

Steven holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Accounting from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Corporate Structure and Strategy from Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.
